Terms of Service

SudokuGM — a mobile Sudoku game published by Youness Marahi (“we”, “us”, the “Developer”).

Last updated: 19 September 2026 · Effective: 19 September 2026

In short

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and the Developer governing your use of the SudokuGM mobile application for Android (com.sudokugm.app) and the online services behind it, including leaderboards, the Daily Challenge and Battle (together, the “Game”). By downloading, opening or playing the Game you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Game.

2. Eligibility

By using the Game you confirm that:

3. Updates to These Terms

We may change these Terms. When a change is material we will post the amended Terms here with a new date before they take effect, and where practical we will notify you in the Game. If you continue to play after a change takes effect, you accept the amended Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Game and, if you wish, delete your account.

4. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it before using the Game.

5. Licence to Use the Game

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use one copy of the Game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. This licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms.

You may not:

6. Your Account

The Game is fully playable without an account. Signing in with Google Play Games creates an account and is required only for the Daily Challenge, Battle and cloud-saved progress.

7. Display Names and Player Conduct

Your display name and country flag are visible to other players on leaderboards and in Battle. Choose a name that is not obscene, hateful, harassing, impersonating, deceptive, or otherwise unlawful. We may block, reset or change a name that breaches this, and we may maintain a list of names that cannot be used.

Battle is a competitive feature against other people. Do not use it to harass, abuse or intimidate anyone.

8. Prohibited Activities and Fair Play

You agree not to:

If we reasonably believe you have breached this section we may reset affected scores, ranks or balances, remove entries from leaderboards, restrict features, or suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice depending on the seriousness of the breach.

9. Virtual Items and Rewards

The Game contains virtual items — coins, boosters such as hints and auto-notes, battle tickets, ranks, XP, streaks, badges and similar (“Virtual Items”). They are earned by playing or by watching rewarded advertisements. The Game contains no purchases: you cannot buy Virtual Items with money.

10. Advertising

The Game is funded by advertising. Rewarded advertisements are optional: you choose to watch one in exchange for a benefit such as a hint, coins or unlocking an archived daily puzzle. A reward is granted only once our advertising provider confirms the advertisement was watched to completion.

Advertisements are supplied by third parties. We do not control their content and do not endorse it. Advertising availability depends on those third parties and on your connection; we do not guarantee that an advertisement will be available when you want one. How advertising data is handled, and how to limit ad personalisation, is explained in the Privacy Policy.

11. Availability and Changes to the Game

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Game — including online features such as leaderboards, the Daily Challenge and Battle — at any time. Online features need an internet connection and may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, or because of problems with networks or providers we do not control. We may also stop supporting older versions of the Game or older Android releases.

We do not guarantee that saved progress will always be preserved. Data can be lost through device failure, uninstallation or technical fault. Cloud saving is a convenience, not a backup service.

12. Termination

You may end these Terms at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the Game.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonably practical, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Game. Where a breach is serious — cheating, abuse of other players, or attacks on our systems — we may act immediately and without notice.

On termination your licence ends, Virtual Items are forfeited, and sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and general terms) continue to apply.

13. Intellectual Property

The Game and everything in it — code, artwork, interface design, graphics, icons, sounds, text, puzzles and the SudokuGM name — are owned by the Developer or used under licence, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Except for the licence in section 5, these Terms grant you no rights in them.

Third-party components included in the Game, including open-source libraries, remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their own licences.

If you send us feedback, bug reports or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use them to improve the Game, without obligation or compensation to you. Please do not send us confidential information.

14. Google Play and Third-Party Services

The Game is distributed through Google Play. These Terms are between you and the Developer, not with Google. Google is not responsible for the Game, and is not obliged to provide any support for it. Your use of Google Play is also governed by Google's own terms. Google and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

The Game relies on third-party services, including Google Play Games, our hosting provider and our advertising partners. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what they do, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE GAME IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT PROGRESS WILL NOT BE LOST.

Some countries do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some or all of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any statutory consumer right you have that cannot be waived — including, for consumers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, rights in respect of goods and digital content that are not as described or not of satisfactory quality.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, GAME PROGRESS OR VIRTUAL ITEMS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE GAME, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE GAME WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE (WHICH, AS THE GAME IS FREE, IS NORMALLY ZERO) OR TWENTY-FIVE EUROS (€25).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you. Some countries do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold the Developer harmless from any claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Game, or your violation of any law or of the rights of another person. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own breach or negligence.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Morocco have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to them.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Consumers in the European Union may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at [email protected] — almost every issue can be resolved that way.

If you believe material in the Game infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: identification of the work claimed to be infringed; identification of the material in the Game and where it appears; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; a statement that the information in your notice is accurate; and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. We will review every properly detailed notice and remove or disable infringing material where appropriate.

20. Notice to California Users

Under California Civil Code section 1789.3, California users are entitled to this notice: the Game is provided free of charge. For questions or complaints, email [email protected]. You may also contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
